Obraz s názvom “Monopoli” je inšpirovaný mojimi cestami po južnom Taliansku a Ríme. V mestečku Monopoli neďaleko Bari sa miešali rôzne kultúry stáročia. Ich pozostatky sa tu stále nachádzajú v podobe symbolov a odkazov na strnách. V spojení so súčasnou kultúrou vytvárajú na mnohých miestach zaujímavé mozaiky a spojenia.
Obrazy z tejto série vznikajú vrstvením omietky, a iných stavebných materiálov na plátno. Vo vrstvách sa nachádzajú maľby či fresky. Obraz je miestami zničený aby evokoval zanechaný zub času, čím sa odkrývajú aj skoršie vrstvy obrazu. Obrazy tým pripomínajú fragmenty pozostatkov urbanizmu. Sú v nich rôzne odkazy či informácie.

The painting titled “Monopoli” is inspired by my travels in southern Italy and Rome. In the town of Monopoli near Bari, different cultures have mixed for centuries. Their remains can still be found here in the form of symbols and references on the walls. In combination with contemporary culture, they create interesting mosaics and connections in many places.
Paintings from this series are created by layering plaster and other building materials on canvas. In the layers there are paintings and frescoes. The painting is destroyed in places to evoke the ravages of time, revealing earlier layers of the painting. The paintings thus resemble fragments of the remains of urbanism. They contain various links or information.
